At Cornelius, we are committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive. We recognise that positive mental health, emotional wellbeing and resilience are essential for pupils to feel safe, happy and ready to learn. Through approaches such as the Zones of Regulation, consistent expectations and targeted social skills support, we help pupils to understand and manage their emotions, develop independence and build confidence. By fostering strong emotional wellbeing and positive relationships, we aim to support improved engagement, behaviour and academic success, while preparing pupils with the resilience and life skills they need to flourish both in school and beyond.

Essex Local Offer
The Essex Local Offer provides information, guidance and support for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as their families.
Through the Local Offer, you can:
- Learn more about SEND and understand the support available if you are new to the SEND journey.
- Explore local services and opportunities, including parent support groups, activities, and specialist health and wellbeing services.
- Access guidance for more complex situations, such as requesting assessments or appealing decisions.
- Find information and advice for young people with SEND as they prepare for adulthood, including support with education, employment, independent living, and housing.
The Local Offer brings together a wide range of services in one place, helping families find the information, support and opportunities they need to help children and young people thrive.
